It was around 1982 when Herman Ard was impressed by the Lord to write a book. He decided to wait until he had more experience after speaking with someone concerning this desire. At the time, Brother Ard did not understand this advice; however, he now sees the wisdom of that advice.
Many who know about Brother Ard's calling and have followed his ministry have encouraged him to write this book at this time. It is his prayer that in the writing of the book of his life, where he came from, and the struggles he experienced, someone may be encouraged to continue until they, too, have fulfilled their calling.
It is the author's prayer that, as you read this book, the Spirit of God will give you complete assurance. "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6).
