Pastors After God's Own Heart

The biblical term pastor denotes a person who cares for sheep. The term pastor applies in both natural and spiritual applications. A natural shepherd cares for natural sheep compared to spiritual shepherds and sheep.

God cares for His people and has promised pastors, or spiritual shepherds, according to His heart. God's plan is for those He has placed over His flocks to care for the sheep with the same heartfelt love He shows. This manner of care burdens those called to serve in a pastoral role.
